Literature CLiCKs™ provides an exciting and meaningful way for students
to re-tell stories using manipulatives as their guide. Works of
children's literature used as part of the popular AIM program are
brought to life through beautiful and child friendly illustrations of
the setting, characters and main components from each story. Simply
reproduce the illustrations for each students and watch literacy
learning explode.
Literature CLiCKs™ provides the answer for how to actively engage students in reading comprehension. Often, as students attempt to re-tell a story, the idea, characters and events become overwhelming and comprehension is inhibited. This is due in part to the lack of awareness of where to begin. When given a few simple tools like a visual representation of the setting and characters, the story comes alive. Students become a part of the story while learning new vocabulary, essential language skills and comprehension strategies. Through the use of Literature CLiCKs™, students learn to relate to the characters, understand the setting and experience the outcome of the story in a unique and powerful way. Ages: EC-5th Grade
