A whole new world of literacy and language learning is opened up for at-risk students through The Wild West, the first volume of Camp Literacy.  The Wild West creatively addresses phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension through five wonderful works of children's literature.  How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Cindy Ellen, Armadillo Rodeo, Cactus Hotel and When Wishes Were Horses are creatively used to engage students in active, fun and meaningful language and literacy learning.  Camp Literacy - where the wild west and literacy come to life!
