Dee Kirby, CCC-SLP, is a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 30 years of experience working as a therapist, university professor, and clinical director. She received her B.S.Ed. from Abilene Christian University and her M.S. from Texas Tech University.
Ms. Kirby currently serves as an assistant professor and undergraduate clinical director at Abilene Christian University. Over the course of her 27 years at ACU, she has taught a wide variety of courses including Communication Disorders, Clinical Methods, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, and Speech-Language Pathology in the Schools.
Dee is an active member of both the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She currently serves as editor for the TSHA Communicologist, is a member of the TSHA University Task Force, and has recently served as TSHA Vice President for Public Information and Marketing. She also serves as the president of the West Texas Autism Council and is active in promoting Autism awareness and implementing programs for Autistic individuals and their families.
Dee has received numerous awards and commendations and has been recognized in Who’s Who Among American Teachers.
