Delores Ponce de Leon

Delores Ponce de Leon, CCC-SLP, is a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 13 years of experience working in primary and secondary public schools - both domestic and abroad - with special emphasis on literacy, language, and collaborative therapy models, as well as extensive experience working with developmentally disabled and long-term adult care populations.

Having received her undergraduate degree in Communications Disorders from Eastern Washington University and her Master's of Special Education/Communications Disorders from New Mexico State University, she is an active member of both the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Ms. Ponce de Leon is a seasoned continuing education presenter, has supervised graduate students, served on multiple state and local committees, and participated grant authorships for programs such as Reading First. She co-coordinated the Statewide Augmentative/Alternative Assistive Communication (SWAAAC) for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) Center in Colorado and served as the Literacy Coordinator for the eastern half of New Mexico where she initiated implementation of the All Kinds of Minds program.

Delores resides in Montgomery, Alabama.
