AIM for Reading Success

This exciting and interactive full day seminar provides speech pathologists and classroom teachers with all they need to know for implementing the Alphabet Instruction Module (AIM) program in pre-k through 3rd grade classrooms. This session explores how AIM’s effective, multi-sensory approach to reading and letter formation can revolutionize literacy for both struggling and non-struggling students. During the course of this session, participants have the opportunity to participate in actual lessons and discover the endless possibilities for the components of AIM.

Course Objectives:

  • Implementation of the AIM program in a variety of educational settings
  • Address all modalities of learning language and literacy through child-centered approaches and techniques
  • Implement effective, multi-sensory strategies which appeal to a broad range of learning styles
  • Understand the Alphabetic Principle and its importance in literacy development
  • Teach correct kinesthetic production of all letter sounds in order to promote development of phonological awareness and articulation skills
