Teaching wtih Purpose: Language and Literacy Labs as RtI

Participants in this full day session are provided with all they need to know for how to establish essential learning centers and literacy labs as Response to Intervention (RtI). This interactive session brings to life the amazing world of center based language and literacy learning by demonstrating how to design creative, functional, language based centers and labs for RtI. Speech pathologists and classroom teachers gain all the tools necessary to make center and lab based learning their primary approach for providing dynamic, effective, and child-centered pre-school RtI.

  • Importance of play and hands-on learning for language and literacy development in preschool children
  • Significance and functionality of learning centers in the early childhood classroom
  • Techniques to ensure learning centers are developmentally appropriate and promote optimum learning
