Tier 1 RtI: Fundamental Knowledge Skills

Fundamental Knowledge Skills provides ideas, solutions and fundamental strategies on how to begin implementing Tier 1 in your classroom. Come and spend the day learning fun, “out-of-the-box” ways to reach students who are struggling to master grade-level objectives for math, science, language arts, reading and social studies. You'll discover new and different techniques for teaching fundamental knowledge skills and creative ways to practice grade level academics.

During the course of this interactive day you’ll have the opportunity to make a wide array of materials such as file folder games, graphic organizers, board games, and more to take back to your classroom. You’ll also have the chance to learn lots of fun, easy to implement ideas to address concepts that students most commonly struggle with. You’ll play games that address specific skills such as Line-Up for storytelling and sequencing. You’ll learn original songs designed to teach fundamental skills. You’ll participate in activities like Cross-Check for Multiplication to teach core information. Whether you are a classroom teacher, speech pathologist, reading specialists, special education teacher or paraprofessional, this workshop offers information you’ll use to make Tier 1 implementation fun and meaningful.
