We had an amazing time in Vegas!
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the MindWorks Resources booth at United for Impact in Las Vegas! We loved connecting with you, sharing our latest products, and having some fun with our giveaways — including the larger-than-life Vegas Creative Learning bag!
One of the highlights? Our hands-on Brain Boost: Math: Volume 2 activity, Swat It!, where attendees would swat insect cards using sticky hands. The goal? Be the first to capture the card showing the correct number or equation — a fun, fast-paced way to show off your math skills!
Take a look at the activities we had on display:
Emote Control • Lower Elementary
In Broken But Beautiful, students practice optimism by transforming torn scraps of paper into imaginative creations, learning how mistakes can spark resilience and creativity. The lesson builds social-emotional skills by guiding students to reframe setbacks as opportunities for growth and to celebrate each other’s problem-solving.
Path Finders • Middle School
In Harvest Helpers, students step into the role of agricultural engineers, designing robotic bug-powered devices to collect rice in a timed challenge. The lesson develops problem-solving, collaboration, and STEM career awareness by having students test, refine, and compete with their inventions while considering how engineering drives innovation in farming.
Brain Boost Math • Elementary
In Swat It!, students build mental math fluency through a fast-paced relay race where they solve number sentences and use sticky hands to grab the correct answers. The activity reinforces computation skills across grade levels while promoting teamwork, focus, and rapid problem-solving under pressure.
Drawing Prize: A Vegas-Inspired Creative Learning Bag!
We're thrilled to announce Chase White from Ada County as the lucky winner of the Creative Learning Bag! Congrats Chase, we know you'll put those activities to good use! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and entered the giveaway. Stay tuned for more surprises at future events!
