Product Questions
Which products are right for me?
We offer distinct product lines for various needs and ages. Compare our product lines and speak to one of our expert consults to further decide which products we right for you.
How long do the kits last?
The longevity of our kits depends on the product line, number of students, and reusability of materials. Whether you need lessons for daily afterschool sessions, a multi-week summer program, or occasional use, our kits are designed to fit a variety of schedules. Visit our product line comparison page or speak with one of our friendly education consultants to find the best solution for your needs.
What is included in your STEM and Creative Arts kits?
Our STEM and Creative Arts kits include materials, instructions, and activities focused on engaging students in hands-on, experiential learning that fosters critical thinking and creativity.
What are the differences in the product lines?
Our product line comparison page provides detailed information about the differences, but in summary:
-
Cornerstone – Structured, standards-aligned academic enrichment lessons with hands-on activities across Science, Math, and Language Arts.
-
Imaginate – Flexible, exploratory learning with theme-based, cross-curricular activities that promote creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
-
Brain Boost – Targeted skill reinforcement in core subjects to address learning gaps and strengthen academic foundations.
-
Base Camp – Engaging, play-based activities that build early math and literacy skills for Pre-K, emerging, and transitional learners.
Some kits are designated as "All Elementary." How can the lessons be adapted for different ages and abilities in grades K–5?
The facilitator guides in our Elementary Imaginate and Brain Boost kits often include Younger and Older modifications to help adapt activities to a wide range of ages and abilities. While not every lesson includes modifications, we provide them where beneficial to support flexible instruction and allow for easy adjustments based on your group’s needs.
Furthermore, some Imaginate kits are designated as Lower Elementary (K-2nd) and Upper Elementary (3rd-5th) with lessons written specifically for those age groups. And, all Cornerstone Elementary kits include two distinct facilitator guides tailored specifically to K–1st and 2nd–5th grade students. Many lessons within these guides also include Younger and Older modifications to help instructors adapt activities to better suit the specific needs of their students.
Why are Cornerstone kits are grouped into K–1 and 2–5, while Imaginate kits are grouped into K–2 and 3–5?
Cornerstone has a greater academic focus, so the grade bands align with both elementary literacy developmental stages and what students are studying in school. For example, Cornerstone K–1 assumes students are non-readers or emergent readers, while by 2nd grade, we expect students to read independently.
In contrast, Imaginate kits are not as tightly academically focused, but are more concentrated on fun, creativity, and critical thinking. Because of that, what a kindergartner can do is often still suitable for a 2nd grader, making the K–2 grouping more appropriate for that format.
Do your kits align with education standards?
Yes! All of our Cornerstone, Imaginate, and Brain Boost lessons are developed in alignment with various national and state standards. Base Camp is aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
Do you offer customizable kits?
Yes, we can customize solutions to meet the specific needs of your program. However, strategically pairing different kits typically is the best and most cost-effective option for most customers. Contact us for more details.
Do I need to provide any of my own supplies?
Our kits include comprehensive lesson guides and all the unique games, books, art supplies, manipulatives, and other materials needed for implementation, except for some basic, commonly available materials such as everyday items like classroom and office supplies. Each lesson guide clearly lists any materials not included for your convenience.
How can I implement these kits into an existing after-school program?
Our kits are designed to easily complement your current programming. Programs often use them for:
-
Everyday enrichment – as an engaging add-on to daily activities
-
Fun Fridays – to introduce something fresh and hands-on
-
Homework Hour – for students who finish early or don’t have homework
-
Holidays & Work Days – for easy, grab-and-go activities when you have extra time to fill
Each kit (Cornerstone, Imaginate, or Brain Boost) supports up to 15 students per session and is built for flexibility, creativity, and ease of use.
Do you offer solutions for grades 9-12?
While we don’t offer kits specifically designed for high school, many program partners successfully use our middle school kits with minor modifications. These are especially effective for high school students performing below grade level who benefit from academic enrichment and hands-on support.
Can a paraprofessional or volunteer easily use your products?
Absolutely! Our products are designed for facilitators of all experience levels, from seasoned educators to volunteers. Each kit includes clear instructions, structured guidance, and built-in flexibility to ensure successful implementation.
